Three weeks ago, I presented how to create Python-based Jabber bots and how to create HTTP-like JSON based Jabber APIs at the Christchurch NZPUG meeting.

I've been working on the code since and over the last weekend I pushed the code (released under BSD license) to my bitbucket.org account.

I wrote a Python script that generates mind map files (.mm) of all my data for all companies I track my time against at Tracklr.

The script uses modified `pytracklr` Python module written by Andrew Turner (zxombie).

I pushed the code onto my bitbucket.org account. It's released under BSD Open Source license.

Before we officially announced Tracklr at the beginning of October, we decided to narrow down the functionality to a single-user edition. The reason behind this was quite simple: we didn't have a multi-user edition ready at that time.

It's been two weeks since we announced Tracklr. Here is a summary of what's the latest and what kept us busy during the time since the announcement.

We are happy to announce Tracklr - lightweight time tracker service.

This is the first public release of the service. We consider this release, a "beta" release.

Tracklr allows individuals ( sole traders, one-man-show companies, individual contractors, web workers, lawyers, etc. ) to set up a company and then add their clients, projects and tasks and track time spent on those accurately.
